8 x 10 oil on a panel

I took a reference photo of this guy when I was out painting plein air with a friend.  There were a number of geese and swans enjoying a swim in the lake – very memorable!

11 x 14 Oil on a Panel

This painting depicts a local railroad depot. The reference photo was taken by Charlie Logan, whose wife Barbara, shared with me shortly after his passing. My hope is that he would have liked the way I painted it. I added the bicycle because it seemed to better tell a story.

Tractor

11 x 14 oil on a panel

This is a 1947 tractor owned by a friend. He has a newer tractor but actually prefers using the old one. I used another reference for the background to add to the composition and story.

Sunflowers

This is a 14 x 11 oil done on linen that was painted in a Trisha Adams’ workshop. It is hanging in the home of a friend that has many of my paintings.

This is a 6 x 6 oil on a panel. My niece took this beautiful photo. When I saw it, although I don't paint flowers, I couldn't pass this one up.

My niece took the beautiful photo reference I used to paint the above. When I saw the photo, although I don’t paint flowers, I couldn’t resist painting this one.

A Teachable Moment

14 x 11 oil on a panel This beautiful reference of a mother and her little toddler sharing time together was taken by my daughter on a trip this summer. I immediately fell in love with it and painted it as a gift to my daughter and her husband.

Sours’ Grocery

11 X 14 oil on a panel. This little grocery is now history. It was an iconic little store in it's day and all the locals kept it going, but now all that is left is mostly just a memory of that. I was glad to make a painting of it in its prime.
