11 x 14 Oil on a Panel

This painting depicts a local railroad depot. The reference photo was taken by Charlie Logan, whose wife Barbara, shared with me shortly after his passing. My hope is that he would have liked the way I painted it. I added the bicycle because it seemed to better tell a story.

I’m sure Charlie would have loved this painting, Joani. What a beautiful composition, enhanced so well with your bicycle addition – it really does tell the story. Your palette is soft and easy on the eyes, just like the scene. I love the grass coming through the sidewalk cracks, between the steel of the tracks and the angle of the depot, the painting is perfectly framed.
